The Law Office of Wickersham & Bowers has represented and counseled individuals, families and businesses facing serious legal issues in the areas of personal injury, family law, wills, trusts and estates, Social Security disability, eminent domain, civil rights and business litigation. We bring experience, legal knowledge and substantial resources to complex legal matters.

Christopher Wickersham has been providing effective legal representation to this community for the last 40 years. Lloyd Bowers moved to Daytona Beach in 1995 to form Wickersham & Bowers after spending the first years of his practice in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Christopher W. Wickersham, Sr.

Christopher W. Wickersham, Sr.

Christopher W. Wickersham, Sr. is a lifelong resident of Daytona Beach, Florida, and comes from a long line of attorneys. His great-grand uncle, George W. Wickersham, was the U.S. Attorney General under President Taft. Chris received both his undergraduate degree and his law school degree from the University of Florida, where as a law school graduate, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and received the Claude Pepper Award. In addition, Chris served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marines (USMCR) prior to the commencement of his legal career.

Chris is licensed to practice both in Florida and the District of Columbia (D.C.). He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Middle District Court of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He is a Supreme Court-certified circuit civil, family and county mediator.

Chris is a member of the Florida Bar and District of Columbia Bar, the Volusia County Bar Association and the Volusia County Civil Trial Lawyers Association.

He has served as city counsel for the City of Port Orange and as a member of the Planning Board for the City of Daytona Beach. He currently serves as counsel for the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association, Inc. and for multiple homeowners associations.

In 2011, he was named by Floridian View magazine as one of the top three civil litigators in Volusia County.

Lloyd Bowers

Lloyd Bowers

Lloyd Bowers received both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from the University of Virginia, where as a law student, he was elected to the Raven Society and served as the chairperson of the University's Judiciary Committee.

Lloyd is licensed to practice in Florida, Louisiana and Texas. He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Middle District of Florida, the Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He is a Supreme Court-certified family mediator.

Lloyd is a member of the Florida Bar, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Texas Bar Association. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Louisiana State Bar Association and was the chairperson of its Young Lawyers Council. In addition, he served on the board of directors of the Louisiana Bar Foundation and the Louisiana Law Institute. He is a member of the American Bar Association, where he has served in the House of Delegates. He is a member of the Volusia County Bar Association, serves on the Elder Law Committee and is a member of the Volusia County Civil Trial Lawyers Association.

Lloyd has served on the Charter Review Committee for the City of Daytona Beach, the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Alliance Committee, and for six years, served on the Board of Trustees for Seaside Music Theater. He currently serves on the Volusia County Cultural Council and the City of Daytona Beach Peabody Auditorium Advisory Board.

In 2013, Lloyd was awarded the Forum For Equality Acclaim Award for Political Activism for his work in the area of civil rights.

After 30 years as an attorney, outside of his practice, he has returned to his undergraduate acting roots and joined the company of actors at City Repertory Theater in Palm Coast, Florida, where he has appeared in Side By Side By Sondheim and will appear in 2014 in I Do, I Do.

Randi White

Randi White has been a legal assistant for more than 22 years and has been with our firm for over nine years. She provides effective support and works primarily with Chris Wickersham on a variety of litigative and other matters. Randi has been a resident of central Florida for most of her adult life.

Leah Cantrell has been working as a legal assistant for more than 20 years and has been with our firm for over three years. She works with Christopher W. Wickersham, Sr., providing administrative and litigation support. Leah is a native Floridian.‚Äč

Dottye Benton

Dottye Benton has been a legal assistant for more than 40 years. She was office manager and legal assistant for a firm in Ormond Beach for 21 years. She joined our firm nine months ago and works primarily with Lloyd Bowers on all of his estate planning, probate and Social Security disability cases. Dottye is a North Carolina native and moved to Florida in 1988.
